Details of the trip

The day begins with an early pick-up from your lodge in Arusha, around 06h60, then drive to Tarangire national park, 120 kilometers west of Arusha, north-west of Tanzania. This park, with 2850 square kilometers, is one of the best national parks in Tanzania and it forms one of the chief parks in The Northern Safari Circuit; large herds of savanna elephants (Loxodonta africana), baobab trees (Adansonia digitata) and good scenery being its main attraction. A part from the rhinoceros other members of the “Big Five” can be spotted.

After obtaining the entry permit from the park’s main gate, the safari continues until around 16h0 where you will exit the park and drive back to your lodge in Arusha. At midday, you will break for lunch at one of the several picnic sites in the park.

As in all other trips, the per person safari price depends on the safari group size; the number of people sharing one safari vehicle during the safari. Below are standard prices per person for different group sizes. The safari starts and ends in Arusha.
